Ah, a man after my own heart. Like you, I'd want nothing but an Airstream. I know that some others might be of reasonable quality, and I know that some others have many more gimmicks and gadgets, but nothing else comes close to Airstream quality of construction and design.
Mine is after all well over 30 years old, working perfectly, and much more comfortable than the almost new motorhome I had borrowed earlier this winter.
I'm afraid that one doesn't see 30 year old travel trailers of any other brand, except in the junk yard of course.

I do like the retro look, and of course mine truly is retro, but I do understand what you are saying. It seems that most Airstream people are elderly. Quite elderly.
I presume that has more to do with cost than anything else. 80 to 90 thousand dollars for a new and beautiful Airstream Classic is a bit much for most people to swallow.
Even my very old one was expensive as these things go, mine, at over 30 years old, did cost as much or more than I could have bought a new one for from a number of lesser companies.
